Imposter Syndrome and Stack Overflow: You’re Not Alone
Every time I visited Stack Overflow, I felt like an imposter. Everyone seemed to know everything. The answers were perfect. The code was elegant. I felt like I was the only one who didn’t have it all figured out. Then I started answering questions. I realized that the experts were just people who had struggled with the same problems before. They weren’t born knowing it. They learned by doing, by failing, and by asking their own questions. Stack Overflow is a living history of every developer’s struggles. It’s proof that no one knows everything. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you can start contributing and stop feeling like a fraud.
