Microsoft's LinkedIn Is Now a Surveillance Tool and That Is Creepy

Microsoft LinkedIn Features
LinkedIn is where professionals network. Microsoft bought it for 26 billion dollars in 2016. Since then, LinkedIn added features. Who viewed your profile. How you compare to others. AI writing suggestions.

But LinkedIn also shares data with Microsoft. Your job history. Your skills. Your connections. Microsoft uses that data to sell ads. To train AI. To recruit for their own open positions.

In 2024, LinkedIn launched games. Yes, games. Like Wordle but for professionals. They want you to spend more time on LinkedIn. Not just when job hunting. Every day. That is creepy. LinkedIn was never supposed to be entertainment.

For beginners, be careful what you post on LinkedIn. Microsoft is watching. Your boss might be watching. But so are recruiters from other companies. Use LinkedIn strategically. Not socially. That is not what it was built for. But that is what it has become.
