The Art of Data Cleaning: Why 80% of Your Time is Spent Here
Nobody told me that being a machine learning engineer meant becoming a professional data janitor. You think you're going to be building fancy neural networks, but really you're spending hours figuring out why there are negative ages in your dataset or why 'New York' is spelled fifteen different ways. I’ve learned to love it, though. There’s a strange satisfaction in taking a messy, chaotic CSV file and turning it into something a model can actually digest. Trust the process. If you skip the cleaning, your model will output garbage. It’s a rite of passage.
