The GCP Console Is Actually... Good? A Love Letter to the UI
I've used all the major clouds. AWS's console feels like a government website from 2005. Azure's feels like a maze where every hallway looks the same. But Google Cloud's console? It's actually pleasant to use. The search bar works. I can find any resource by typing its name. The layout is consistent. The dark mode doesn't hurt my eyes. When I click on a VM, I see the information I actually need, not a wall of text. The Cloud Shell opens in a second and already has my credentials. I know it's weird to praise a UI, but good design matters when you spend hours there. Google Cloud gets it. It feels like the console was designed by people who actually use it. That's rare in enterprise software.
