Building a Portfolio: Projects Over Certificates

I’ve seen people with dozens of certificates who can’t solve a real-world problem. And I’ve seen self-taught people with amazing GitHub portfolios land great jobs. In this field, what you can do matters more than what you’ve studied. Build projects. Put them on GitHub. Write about them on a blog or LinkedIn. It doesn’t have to be novel; just implement something end-to-end. Show that you can clean data, train a model, and deploy it. That speaks volumes.
