Healthcare Jobs in Dubai: Opportunities for Medical Professionals

Modern hospital facility in Dubai
Healthcare Careers Dubai Guide
Dubai's healthcare sector has been one of the fastest-growing parts of the economy, driven by medical tourism, a growing population, and government investment in world-class facilities. Dubai Healthcare City is a dedicated free zone housing hospitals, specialist clinics, universities, and wellness centres in a single campus. The Dubai Health Authority regulates all healthcare professionals and facilities in the emirate. Before practising in Dubai, every medical professional must obtain DHA licensing. The process requires submitting verified degree certificates, good standing certificates from your home country regulator, proof of professional liability insurance, and passing a DHA examination in most clinical disciplines. The process takes 4 to 8 weeks once documents are complete. Specialist doctors — particularly oncologists, cardiologists, orthopaedic surgeons, neurologists, and fertility specialists — are actively recruited by major hospitals. Salaries for consultant physicians range from 40,000 to 80,000 AED monthly depending on specialism, experience, and facility. Nurses earn 8,000 to 15,000 AED with accommodation and flight allowances common at government hospitals. Allied health professionals — physiotherapists, radiographers, pharmacists — earn 10,000 to 25,000 AED depending on qualification and seniority. The private sector is the dominant employer. Aster, Mediclinic, American Hospital, and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi are major healthcare groups with consistent hiring activity.
