The Ethics of Letting AI Make Decisions for Us

AI Ethics Dilemma
I was in a webinar last week where a developer said he lets his AI agent decide who gets hired for entry-level positions based on resume screening. It made my stomach turn. Not because AI can't do it, but because AI inherits our biases. If you train an agent on your old hiring data, it will learn all your prejudices. We are building systems that can act autonomously, but are we building in the ethics? I think we are moving so fast that we forget to ask 'should we do this?' before asking 'can we do this?' It’s a conversation we need to have openly.
