UPSC Application Fee: Payment Methods, Exemptions, and Refunds

The UPSC CSE application fee is Rs.100 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates. SC, ST, PwBD, and all female candidates are exempted completely. Payment is online only – debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI (PhonePe, Google Pay, etc). After payment, a confirmation page appears. Save it as PDF. If payment fails but money deducted, wait 24 hours. UPSC auto-reconciles. If not, contact your bank. No refund of fee even if you don't appear for exam. However, if you mistakenly pay and are exempted, you can request a refund within 7 days. Official payment portal is https://upsconline.nic.in. Never pay through third-party websites.
