Yoga for Absolute Beginners
Walking into a yoga studio for the first time can feel intimidating, but yoga is truly for everyone. You don’t need to be flexible to start; flexibility is a result, not a prerequisite. Start with a few foundational poses at home. Mountain pose (Tadasana) teaches you proper alignment. Downward-facing dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana) builds strength. Child’s pose (Balasana) is your go-to for rest whenever you need it. The most important thing is to listen to your body. It’s not about touching your toes; it’s about what you learn on the way down. Focus on your breath. When you hold a pose, let your breath guide you. There’s no competition here, just your own journey to feeling stronger and calmer.
