Admissions & Benefits
After FFMG – Which Colleges in India Accept It, Admissions Process & Career Benefits
Clearing FFMG is just the start. Now which colleges can you get into? First, you need to understand – FFMG score is not for PG seats directly. After clearing FMGE (and FFMG if your state requires it), you become eligible for state quota PG seats. Many states like Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Delhi accept FMGE cleared candidates for their state counseling. Some private colleges like KMC Manipal, SRM Chennai, and Christian Medical College Vellore (for certain courses) also accept FMGE scores. The admission process: register on state medical council website, fill your FMGE/FFMG marks, pay fee (around ₹3000), then participate in online counseling. You get a seat based on your rank among FMG candidates. Benefits? You finally practice legally in India. You can do PG in your chosen specialty. Salary during PG residency ranges from ₹60,000 to ₹90,000 per month. After PG, you can work in corporate hospitals, open your own clinic, or even go for SS (DM/MCh). Also, many states give weightage to FMGs who did their MBBS from specific countries like Russia, China, Ukraine, or Philippines. One warning: don't pay any agent who promises direct admission. All admissions go through state counseling. Stay safe, stay legal.
