The Best Time of Year to Visit Florida (It’s Not Summer)
Everyone thinks of Florida in July, but that’s a mistake unless you like saunas. I went to Orlando in August once and the humidity was so thick you could chew it. The best time to visit Florida is actually the “shoulder seasons”—late fall (October-November) and early spring (March-April). The weather is warm but not oppressive, and the crowds are thinner. Plus, you avoid the hurricane season peak in September. If you want to see the Keys or the Everglades, winter is perfect—dry and sunny. Just avoid spring break weeks unless you want to party with college students.
