UPSC Form for Ex-Servicemen and Armed Forces Personnel

Ex-servicemen get age relaxation up to 5 years (General) and 8 years (OBC) etc. To claim this, you need a service certificate from your unit. In the UPSC form, select 'Ex-Servicemen' under category sub-type. Upload the certificate. Also, you must mention your date of retirement or release. If still serving, you need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your commanding officer. Commissioned officers and JCOs/ORs are eligible. Official rules: https://upsc.gov.in/ex-servicemen.
